The SNDWAY was around £89 then so thought it a good option as I had just dropped my battery powered studio temp & humidity monitor in the washing up bowl full of water.Dont Ask  It also has a USB charged battery in it, That came in handy last summer during the heatwave.I can totally recommend it .Having both means I can use them between studio and audio listening room.

Most of these sound level meters are likely to have an accuracy in the region of +-15dBA, especially if you take humidity and temperature into account.  TBH, you can't really get a very accurate one for less than £4-500 - even then they will be +-10 dBA depending on circumstances. Also, if you are worried about noise exposure it is the level at your ear you want to worry about, not up on the wall (although likely to be higher there due to boundary effects.
