Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz and clones

Anyone got one?

What do you reckon?

Just offloaded an amazing germanium fuzz as I want to chase that 'Songs for Groovy Children' era 69/70 Jimi tone - Not that I sound anything like that when I play.

Old ones the same as the brand new ones? Anything to look out for? The Fuzzdog and Jed Peds versions just as good?

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

I built a Fuzzdog clone - although not for myself, so only had a brief play. I liked it, and have been tempted to make another for myself. I’m not really a fuzz expert though.

I think the acid fuzz sounds amazing and haven’t found anything that replicates Roger’s, personally.

I fancy an original but they don't seem to come up used very often, and £300 is a bit of a big punt on something so niche
