What's Hot
HarrySevenHarrySeven Frets: 8031
Earlier, I dug out an old Wilkinson VS vibrato which has a few bits and pieces missing/worn/damaged - any idea re. the best UK place to purchase various small parts?

    Cheers all! :)

Having had a closer look at the unit, I have a sneaky feeling the threads may be imperial?

If it's like the ones fitted to the old Patrick Eggle Berlins then yes, it's Imperial.

    Earlier …
It is almost the Easter Bank Holiday weekend - the traditional season for barbecuing and DIY. Shouldn't you be plastered? :-p

@HarrySeven I had to buy a new one earlier this year to replace one where a single part had broken. Therefore I should hopefully have some spare parts. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll see if I can help (I want to keep some spares for myself too!).

Dunno if this image will appear, but I've got six saddles and 5 of the other bits. If they're any use? They from the fixed bridge version.

If they’re in better condition than mine, they may well be!

I don't want to step on willo's toes, but you're welcome to them. If you PM me your address, I can pop 'em in the post. I'm never gonna use them. :)

Well, hopefully @willo will have the other parts I need, so I can cobble something together!

    Thank you! :)

Sorry for slow progress - kids been unwell. I got the parts out last night - can't work out exactly which bits you need but I've got a photo I'll put up later so we can both get on the same page

Cheers @HarrySeven . The photo is here (I can never get images to embed on here): https://imgur.com/a/8rHViJl

If you could somehow explain to me, or direct me to, whichever bits you need, I will see what I can post. I do want to keep some spares as the whole replacement cost me £100 because only one screw had failed in the old unit - a similar story to yours I think!

Going slightly OT on this, re strung my Berlin Pro last night with the convertible trem , and I still use the string locking bits in the trem . Do any of the above still have them? Am I the only one who  still uses them?

I have one of the VS100 Convertible vibratos - with the ferrule through the aluminium spring cavity cover plate and two wedge sections around the arm.

H7's VS100 is a later example, without the "convertible" gubbins.

That wasn’t the bit I was on about! It’s the string clamps
