The Pettyjohn Royal was part of a Ltd edt run in 2022. This pedal is a modified erosion of their Chime pedal. The Chime was modelled after a Vox, but the Royal is modelled on a Matchless DC-30 EF-86 channel. I’ve compared this side by side with my Bad Cat and it’s very, very close indeed.it also has a very cool ultra-violet LED.

This is the top of the range model offered by PJ, with the more expensive Dual 990 discrete op-amps, so was $100 more expensive.

This can run between 9-15v and sounds incredible as an overdrive pedal as well as a preamp pedal.

Never left the house apart from one visit to the studio. Small pieces of dual lock on the bottom.
