Odd text message question, initially felt Scammy to me

So earlier today I got a text (on my iPhone 8) from "Missed Calls".  The message read,

"From Three: 2 Missed call(s):

Hyperlink Hyperlink
16:39

Hyperlink Hyperlink
16:39

Press "call" to return the call. "

The first hyperlink  in each line was Mrs CJs mobile number and the second was todays date. 

My phone was on, and as far as I can tell had signal but never rang or showed any missed calls.  Seconds later the house number rings and it's Mrs CJ asking if there's something wrong with my phone because she' tried to call twice and just got a single unavailable type tone and no VM.

I then tried to call my mobile from my son's and it was fine, then i tuned mine off and called it again and got a solid tone and no VM. When I switched it back on three was no missed call showing and as yet ( 30 minutes later ) no "missed call SMS"

We're all on Three and i've never seen this before, anyone else had it happen and/or is it some super scam?

I can’t offer any advice other than I’d bet your problem is Three, the provider. I had the misfortune of having a contract with them once. Never, ever again.
