Gutted for him. I say this as someone who once left a Gibson SG in a shop in London and then got on a bus. Luckily when I went back the shopkeeper had  it.

Hope he gets it back somehow.

I see that he has posted about this on a Facebook group named LostBox, in which he says he has reported the loss to the British Transport Police.  Given the value of the item I would have thought that British Transport Police would have accessed the train's CCTV for 15 minutes either side of 13:20 on the day in question to see if they could determine who took it after the owner left.  This isn't an umbrella, a pair of leather gloves or a driving licence, it's worth a few bob.

He's posted on the Dartford Community on Facebook but I don't use facebook and it requires that I log in before I can scroll down to it.

For my shame I managed to do that twice within 6 months back in 1994, One was a bitsa Strat but the one that really hurt was the early 80s Squier JV 60s Strat
