Not for me for sure, but to play devil's advocate for a moment I don't see anyone complaining about paying £1500+ for a MII Strandberg :-)

That'd be a lot better with a covered pickup and a chrome knob. And another pickup. And sparkly blue instead of mint.

    Not just Epiphone it seems…
And why would it be just Epiphone?  (That's a general question, not specifically aimed at you :) )
There are lots of Indonesian and Chinese guitars which cost a grand or more, but for some reason it's really only Epiphone which makes people blow gaskets.

Most shops are struggling to give the latest Delonge Strats away, so who is going to buy this monstrosity?

I always thought Fender had fairly savvy R&D & marketing teams, often testing the water by limiting numbers of potentially divisive releases with the FSR badge, but this just smacks of an answer to a question no-one asked.

I like that apart from the vile roasted neck.

I'd prefer the volume control on the other side of the f-hole, and some sort of Fender bridge instead of the ToM/stoptail, but I could live with it.

    Needs an Invader though :).

Is this the first Indonesia build with Fender on the headstock?

I ordered one, Olympic white, I am a Blink fan but never liked the Strat one, Starcaster shape is good for me, do I think the price is high, yes, but compared to other guitars that are coming now seems alright.

P.S. I didn't pay full price... Loyalty points came in handy.

The Jim Adkins Thinline Tele is made in Indonesia with Fender Logo and that guitar rocks.

They look like a cheap knockoff to my eye. I think they look really 'basic,' but not in a good way.

But I'm not a fan of Blink-182, so I'm not into it.

I'm assuming these are made in Indonesia because that is where the current Squier Classic Vibe Starcasters are made. Presumably it was simpler to stick with building in that factory.

I can't help but think these are just classic vibes with a few premium appointments and a Fender decal stuck on.

But proper rosewood though peeps so obviously worth the money.
I say as jest coz I wouldn’t spend more than £400 on a guitar with a laurel board. They feel awful.

I expect they won’t have the facilities to build semi hollow bodies anywhere else

Are the F-holes real, or painted on?
