NGD - Eastman SB55v

Deadman

Where do I start with this guitar? I’ve never had a Junior style guitar but of all the guitars I’ve owned my old SG classic resulted in me realising I love P90’s (ignoring my Epi Casino short lived ownership, too toylike, buzzy, etc etc). Add to that I’m very simplistic and with my limited exposure to guitar/only play at home this seemed like the perfect fit for me. 

All I can say at the moment is after owning a lot of guitars and after nearly 30 years of dabbling I’m pretty convinced I’ve found a keeper. Eastmans may be MIC but their workshop is banging out guitars that knock every single aspect of guitar build, quality and spec out of the park. I’m sold. This is the best guitar I’ve ever owned.

If you are open to other brands, there was a stunning Maybach DC in the classifieds recently (I know it’s good, because it used to be mine).

I am open to other brands, both Eastman and Maybach are on my list to become ‘the one’

Cheers Jay, like Auden ( ) I like trying out the underdogs of the market. Such good value for money. So glad I did in this case too. I already feel a bit of an itch for an SB59!

Agreed, both great brands.

I’m missing my sb59 already. Although there is little to compete with my Juliet, which is all manner of cool!

A GB ended for 1050 quid on eBay earlier, close to me too. 9.5/10 condition. I was a gnat’s wossaname away from buying it. 

There’s real VFM out there if you’re prepared to ignore the headstock brand.

Congrats indeed, these really are superb instruments that punch waaaaayyyy above their price!
