Saw a red Lucille today

Nosed in a very small shop that usually just has lower end stuff and saw a secondhand Gibson Lucille in red - in the flesh I think I actually preferred it to the usual ebony look. 

There was also a used R8 and an ebony LP Custom - I think they’d bought someone’s collection. 

Anyway - anyone had a red Lucille? I don’t think I’d ever seen one for real before

I’ve seen pictures but never in real life as far as I can remember. 

I’ve always thought of them as a “worse 355” if I’m honest though. The lack of f-holes makes me feel weird.

And you would be right. Shrill, heavy...the only guitar I've ever owned that I couldn't get a single pleasing tone out of.

I adore my 355 but I'm happy not to have a varitone in mine.
