Novo Baritone - Why are there limited boutique baritone guitars?

I like the new Novo baritone drop (and love Joey Landreth so the teaser video on their insta was spot on). There is one at peach which is for me a bit much money. I have a couple of Novo guitars and some other boutique guitars like Collings and Xotic. I was lucky enough to visit the Novo factory last year and just love those guys so much. I was standing outside for a photo and managed to get talking to someone who took me inside. 

Anyway - back to the point - Novo’s new Baritone drop today got my GAS going again and after a few hours looking around it doesn’t seem there are many boutique style baritones and most out there are metal / not typical shapes. Maybe the Fano one is an option. Would be interested in your views on why we don’t have many boutique / ‘normal’ shaped baritone options. Cheers all.

It’s just not a common tuning. That’s the main reason. It might be common in genres of metal, hence the amount of metal orientated options, but other than that it’s a specialist instrument 

Fender sell 27” baritone necks for Strat and Tele. That’s what I did for more traditional tone options

I'm planning my new offset baritone as a through neck so nice to know people are looking.
I'll be doing a 27 scale 22 frets with mojotrons.

Duesenberg just released what I think is a pretty good-looking baritone. Called the Julietta - priced very much in the “need to think about it for a bit” category but not nearly as crazy as the Novos. Available with or without trem too but only in one colour option for each.
