I agree. If anything I'd change the gold hardware though I admit it doesn't look bad at all on that - it works okay with the dark wood body

White pickuards should be banned on all guitars, it always looks cheap and reminds me of home appliances. At least go parchment/off-white.

I prefer Explorers a la Hetfields with no scratch plate, but that looks great with the black. I'd get an aged copper one though if it was mine

I've got one exactly like it but with the white pick guard.

You need to try it though as the neck is huge.
