Hi all
I have a Vox AC30 Top Boost Reverb Vox Sound Ltd era with the slim Vox logo.. is there a serial number checker? I think it is very late 60s or 70. Has replacement Celestion Blues so can't check the speakers.

    Thank you!

    Ah yes... The "bad" era.

It's possible mine was modded - I never go inside the amp as I don't know what I'm doing.

FWIW mine has never overheated or let me down apart from an aged valve fizzing and crackling. And it is incredibly quiet... no hiss or hum... and incredibly loud. I always use the Hotplate attenuator to get the right break up at the level I choose.

The reverb and Vibrato have never worked and could well be bypassed. The last time the valves were replaced about 20 years ago the tech said that he wasn't confident enough with the circuit to add replacement  reverb tank.
