Just a heads up for anyone running a DAW in Windows 11. Update 24H2 will enable Bitlocker encryption on your PC by default.
This encryption has a massive effect on the performance of solid state drives (SSDs).
This could potentially cause major problems for people running timing critical software packages such as recording software.
Bitlocker can be disabled but it needs to be done at registry level.

The following link to Tom's Hardware details the issues involved and how to prevent Bitlocker being enabled.
