Attaching a mic stand to your pedalboard

Any ideas on how to do this without major metal work?! I was hoping something like this maybe available but can't find anything in UK and the USA website looks like its not a live business...

I bought a bracket from b and q,   a square base with a tube coming out the top and screwed to my board, removed the legs from a mic stand and it slots in nicely.

There's probably a more elegant solution out there but it seems to work ok.

I'll try to take one with a stand in it later but you can see the bracket on my board, it's next to the power supply and pinnacle at the top

Hey John that looks totally perfect! A picture would be much appreciated! I've had a quick search on the B&Q site and couldn't find anything under brackets - you wouldn't happen to recall the exact name of the part would you?

I don't know how you guys play and sing with the stand that close. I need the mic basically directly over my board but with the boom arm quickly getting out of my way or I just knock the stand over all evening with my right arm flailing and horrendous faux-rock leg kicks.

You say tomato...

presumably you need a fairly heavy duty ( or heavy anyway) board for this to work or you'll tilt all your pedals up if you knock the stand?

Yes mine weighs 35kg so easily gonna hold the weight as long as the bracket and fixtures are tough enough...

@Cirrus mine is a boom - I'd put it in the back corner and have it arching over the pedals so its not banging into the guitar neck.

Thomann have lots of useful brackets and attachment. What about a small speaker top-hat? Most go up inside the cab but I remember seeing some that stuck out. If that was bolted to the board and sticking up, the retaining bolt should hold the stand in place.
