As a three piece there was so much to listen to and Les's lyrics are insane! Larry was an amazing guitarist and Herb was fantastic with a great tight snare sound.

The bass parts aren't bad either...

Bought one album decades ago. Hated it. took it back to HMV and swapped it for something else (they did that!). Never ventured there again

They are a bit marmite, I quite like them but need to be in the mood.  I love the live cover of master of puppets.

Those Damn Blue Collar Tweakers at Woodstock '94 is something to behold. Well worth a watch on Youtube.

First heard Primus on Tony Hawks Pro Skater (1or 2) - Jerry was a race car driver.

Then went on to Frizzle Fry and the Brown Album.

Epic - first person I ever saw playing a PRS as well.

I've got a few of their albums but I must admit it's a very long time since I listened to them.

I've just learned that they've only released a handful of albums since the last one I bought, The Brown Album, I had no idea they'd ever gone on hiatus.  I feel stupidly ill-informed now.

I only like Jerry Was a Racecar Driver and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver.   Les is a great bassist.  I suppose I never really got into them as I feel they revolved around Les's bass more than being a  6  string guitar centric band.

They are an interesting band. I saw them at a festival here a few years ago. I have to say I enjoy them because they're different. I have 3 albums - Antipop, The Brown Album, and Green Naugahyde. 

I have to be in the mood to listen to them. But I do like them. Claypool is a smashing bassist!
