I'm 99% sure I know the answer to this but just checking in case I'm actually an idiot...:)
I'm going to try using an HK redbox instead of the usual SM57 live
You can put these inline between the speaker and the head but I'm wondering if I can save a cable and put it out the second speaker out.
Its not carrying a load so it should have no effect on the impedance?
Is that correct?

option 1 Speaker cable from amp to redbox > speaker cable from redbox to cab (2 cables)
option 2 speaker cable from amp output 2 to redbox (1 cable)
no?
Edit : not what I meant
I'm just running it off the second tap. The cab will still be running off the first tap (i.e. providing the load)
The question is will running it off the second tap change the base impedence
So isn't that -
Option 1 - Amp to Cable to Red Box to Cable to Cab
vs
Option 2 - Amp to Cable to Cab plus Amp to Cable to Red Box
So aren't you needing two cables either way?
I see what you mean
Jesus I'm slow today
Well lets just forget this happened shall we
Apologies to all contributors. You have been conversing with an adult moron
I am having a total brain freeze today. Thank you kindly for your help

Ah thanks for that
That sounds the most sensible way then (although I'll probably hate the sound)
