    My only advice is take your "budget" and stretch it it some, not so you much that it makes you homeless, but just so that it makes you wince and a little uncomfortable. In a few months time you will be over the hump and you will have a cracking guitar to use every day that doesn't feel like a compromise.

    Those EJ Strats I have seen on here have been bargains for such a great guitar.
