Anyone had any experience with one of these funny old tranny amps? I'm not talking about the concord btw. I just won one on eBay and to be honest I'm not expecting anything more than curiosity value really. Worth a punt for a fiver though.

At a Fiver you can't really go wrong, assuming the Tip isn't too far away?  )

Shame it isn't a Concord, they were incredible, especially if you got the JBL loaded one. Loved Pedals.

In theory it's supposed to have a 12" Fane speaker in it but there is precious little info on the net about them. Also sold under the Dallas Arbiter name apparently.

Yes, that would be the correct period. A friend was the D.A. Rep at the time and was too embarrassed to bring one in to show us. After much wrangling, he eventually brought it in and we all had a wonderful laugh. BUT, I believe you are right, so a 12" Fane for a Fiver seems better. Marginally LOL

Well I picked it up, it works! And actually it doesn't sound too bad considering it is after all a 70s tranny amp. I'm really not sure what the tremelo socket does. I tried putting a mesa foot switch into it but it just acted like kill switch. If you plug a guitar into it it's just kinda bassy... Hmm odd.
