It's a Thornley song called Come Again. The recorded version is nothing to write home about but when they do it live it seems to take on a whole new vibe.

Yeah I know that tune.  The Thornely solo albums aren't great IMO (mind you the latest Big Wreck album isn't that good).  They are very much a live band.

Awesome band, ghosts and albatross are 2 of my most listened to albums at the moment. And albatross has been on there for years.
Their recent videos from the suhr factory are awesome.
    Ian thornley is brilliant
I'm not a McDonalds burger. It is MkJackary, not Mc'Jackary... It's Em Kay Jackary. Mkay?

  • I can't listen in work but Big Wreck have a Dunlop Sessions video that should be released on 1st December on the Jim Dunlop Youtube channel.  I saw a picture on Instagram and Ian was using a lot of MXR and Dunlop pedals in his rig.

    Wonderful.

I only discovered them last year and loved "Ghosts" but I'm looking forward to this and I like the slightly poppier element.

Ian Thornley is absolutely superb, as is his band and supporting guitarists.

  • I don't really like Skybunk Marche to be honest.  Ian's main solo is great, but it's a bit long and, overall, I find it boring.

  • I have one of Thornley's solo albums. It's good. Heavier than Big Wreck though. But still good. And was released on Roadrunner, interestingly, so kinda makes me wonder why Big Wreck are so low-key.

I finally just got around to purchasing the Albatross album on iTunes. Unfortunately Ghosts isn't on the Australian iTunes Store, yet Albatross and their first two albums are. Weird!
