When I was clearing out my mum's place I found a board game I'd had as a kid in the 60's. It was called Trek and looked amazing when you opened the box, with bundles of paper money and loads of plastic playing pieces such as crates, donkeys and jeeps. Unfortunately it was totally unplayable as it had a rule book about 20 pages thick that might as well have been written in Sanskrit.

I love a good Board/Card game, some highlights include:

Monopoly, 
Cluedo (although it's too easy to win),
Ticket To Ride (The European one of course), 
Escape From Colditz, 
Secret Hitler, 
Cards Against Humanity, 
and Exploding Kittens
