Hughes & Kettner Footswitch/Amp Issue

Just had my Trilogy back from the repair shop for what I thought was a dodgy valve, however it appeared to be the footswitch causing havoc. Now it's at home, it keeps refusing to switch to the Ultra Lead channel, and when it's left on the UL channel, it keeps automatically switching between the Lead and Ultra Lead channel.
Any ideas what's causing this - is it the footswitch that;s dodgy or is it an issue on the amp itself? Would rather attempt to diagnose it now!
