I'm with you there @scrumhalf Peter Green had an amazing touch and Danny Kirwan's work was sadly overlooked because of Peter Green's presence. They're one of my Time Machine bands.

I always think Lyndsy Buckingham is a criminally underrated guitarist. There is a good unplugged video of never going back again, that shows how good a finger picker he is.

Fuck that old shit. Rumours is the best thing anyone ever made under the FM banner and Buckingham is far more interesting a player than Green ever was. I'd be going if I was in the right country

Chalk and cheese in terms of the music they created but in their own way Green and Buckingham are both fine guitarists, need your love so bad is one of my all time fave intro's but something like Gold Dust Women has the right guitar playing for the track, it's understated, interesting and varied with loads of texture... such a moody track - love it.
