it makes the tremolo a very different effect, instead of on/off/on/off volume, it pans so the signal is always present but moving.
similar with the phasing, that instead of sweeping up and down, its now sweeping side to side and there is always the high and low parts of the signal in the room
and stereo chorus is wide an encompassing in a way that mono chorus cant touch

I loved it for stereo effects and the spread of sound, helped by the V shaped cab!
i use to do it and plan on doing it again.
i dont do it for delays or effect, mainly because i just sound immensely big. i usually run one slightly overdriven, and the other clean...then when i want dirty sound i hit the distortion or fuzz on the clean amp only only. Sounds amazing!
