New (live) album in the making and gigs popping up, but can I get a ticket? No.
Anyone else managed to get one?

As far as I understand it from speaking to people who know is that is sold out (very small number) and its not a live album but an album being recorded in public view so to speak.

It sold out pretty much instantly. It's in Somerset house, as a sort of living/working installation. The idea is, those that go in see them working on the album (could be chatting, could be an overdub etc). You can see in, but they can't see out, as it's a one way window.

Well, not being jack but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Lets just hope they're not in the hands of touts and eBay profit makers.

I've never managed to get tickets to music at Somerset house. I do get lots of emails about arts stuff there, but think my subscription to their mailing list may be messed up. They pre-announce this kind of thing to their mailing list, so suspect it's not gone to touts, though there was also something about their sales site crashing under the load (surprising given some of the other acts they've had on).

She's my best mates cousin @deadman. Lives down the road in Bridport (or keeps as flat in west bay - which is where Broadchurch is filmed incidently)

We used the same local guitar tech for a while and I knew her best through him. Played some of her guitars and shot the breeze a few times - I developed a bit of a major crush on her - fit, tall, talented as fuck and an awesome collection of guitars, what's not to like, haven't seen her since they were rehearsing for their last tour at the Electric Palace in Bridport, that was am amazing to be in there watching

She'd bought back a load of those hideous plastic airline guitars from the states and was trying to convince the tech they were incredible - i played one after she'd gone - crap

I love those airlines! Awesome story Jon, you're a lucky chap. I understand why you liked her, it's probably because you're a heterosexual male!
Looking forward to the new album, I just hope I can get to see her soon. It's definitely a bucket list item for me.

A mate of mine has been rehearsing on and off with her over the last 12 months or so. Not sure if he's involved with the album though.
*just asked him, and apparently he was binned off for a series of guest guitarists*

Same here. I also like her moody punkier stuff. Dress is just the best.

The bass player in his band was in her band for a while (also he was dep on the pixies, did frank Black solo record and the Fall)
