. And why do all the women in RnB videos do that thing were they look like they are desperate for a poo?
Because someone, who might look like me, spiked their coffee with Ex-Lax........

...Eminem on now. He always tries to make it look like he is saying something meaningful but clearly isn't. Bring back the ex lax women!
Anyway, words you like, back as you were...

I used to see groups of words of the form "Dear Mr Phil, we are pleased to inform you that your salary has been increased to ..." - I think this kind of thing was my all time favourite.
    What? When?
It used to happen during the late 80s, the 1990s, and early 2000s, when software engineers could be picky about what job they did because they were always in high demand. If you did your job well, your employer wanted to keep you, and usually ensured you stayed by monitoring what salaries were paid elsewhere for your kind of work, and making sure your salary didn't fall behind.

  • Actually my current favourite word is vexacious. Mainly because my eldest son was being bullied at school and despite injuries, evidence and witnesses the deputy head was trying to suggest my kid was making it up as the accused was the son of a colleague. She clearly didn't have the balls to bluntly say he was lying and I wasn't going to make it easy for her. Every time I used the specific word 'vexacious' it was clear they didn't know wtf it meant or whether to agree or not. It was like they were looking at my wife and i for a visual clue on how to react. What's more they seemed quite puzzled that as they don't know me, and clearly go by pre-conceived judements this big, quiet, hairy bloke somehow wasn't as stupid as they assume all parents are.

Least favourite: horrid. Makes me feel a little sick when I encounter it.

I haven't heard any of your posh-arse favourite words today. But I've heard "bollocks" 9 times. And two of those have been from my PA (secretary, according to South Thanet candidate, Al Murray.)
