;5387"]My pet hate is people referring to their Les Paul as a 'Lester'....
So if I advertised a Lester that played like butter and was a real cracker would people think that was just to cheesey?

Especially if you said it was 'Caerphilly set up by a local tech'....

So much has changed in guitar selling compared to (let's say) the 80's

You put a classified ad in the local paper then waited for the phone to ring.
    Nobody ever  asked:
Will you swop it for my guitar made from parts?
Have the pickups been out of the guitar and then put back in again 15 times?
Will you post it to me?

    :))

    Or my favourite; "You're asking 'x' "(where x = a very fair price) "I've only got 'y' " (where y = totally taking the p155).

Incidentally, this conversation only ever takes place once they've reassured you they are a serious buyer and asked every other conceivable question about it before revealing themselves as a waster.....
