NAD Badcat.....

What's Hot

After gigging an AC15tv1 heritage for a few years and loving it, I realised I needed reverb, so instead of buying a decent reverb I sold my beloved Vox, and bought the Badcat Black Cat 15r on here!

Wow, what an amp. Very interactive EQ on both switchable  channels, brilliant reverb, decent Master volume. Its basically what I wanted the Vox to sound like! Cant wait to gig it at the weekend.

Best part, it fits in my Blues Deluxe Flight case!

I bought a Cub3 15W head a few months back....I love it. And most importantly the logo lights up.

When it's cranked, it sounds like the love train smashing into the buffers of the terminus of tone.

I used to own a Badcat Cub IIR - for certain things it was the best amp I've ever heard.

In fact I'm struggling to justify having got rid....

    Congratulations on your new amp!

I also had a Bad Cat Cub IIR...there must have been something wrong with it as it was horrible!

  • A brilliant amp. I was nervous about upgrading from my AC15tv1 which I loved but wow this thing is wonderful. Half power, channel 1 on 2/3rds as my 'clean' and 2 wide open for my dirty, and EP booster just wow. My Prince of Tone will be up for sale as I see no use for it now! Wonderful reverb too. The cleans remind me of my Wienbrock, so it really does show when amps are built right.

Used my 6120 and 6128 all night and had many compliments. Incidently I recieved hardly any tone comments before I switched to Gretsches Last year. Now its every gig. Its these things that get us through 3 hour gigs!

  • Oh but that tone preset knob? Utterly useless imo. Just does something not right, in every position!

Try using the channel two with the click tone setting as your clean channel. Seems to give it loads of headroom and channel one broken up is a bit smoother.

I set mine up differently depending what type of gig I'm doing. It's actually a really versatile amp.
