Video Editing Software

I've got a gig recorded (see Live section) and wanting to break it up into song sized chunks, nothing fancy, I've got some separate footage of some close ups that I might or might not use.

What's software's out there that I can download (for free if possible as I'm never likely to need to do it again) for my laptop that's idiot proof as I am not IT literate?

Windows Live Movie Maker. It's probably already on your machine, assuming it's Windows, or can be installed/enabled quickly and for free.
