Ignore the playing, check out the tone of my broken DSL50 and EJ wired MIM Standard Strat (Neck and middle position). 

The amp's magic on the occasions it sounds right.  That was a really low volume and no overdrive pedals or anything too.

Some nice stuff submitted already....  I want to enter this one and this months challenge at least if I can find time.  I'm of to Paris for work on Sunday so won't get chance until next weekend at the earliest but you guys as always are going to be hard to beat!

Hey @sambostar thanks yep I did see the post on the wall before but can you make this downloadable in the setttings as I need to add it to the official account via upload. cheers.

If you got to edit the track on soundcloud go to the permissions tab and you can change the settings to downloadable.

No problems my man but unfortunately that is not the same thing.

If you click on the edit button on your song (should look like a pencil and usually next to the bin icon) it will show you your track details.

There are hower three tabs (which I didn't realise myself until a few months back

Basic Info    Metadata       Permissions

If you click on permissions it will take you to a page with four options that you can select or de select

you should click on the one which says enable downloads that way I can download it and upload it onto the FB soundcloud.

I just about managed to get my effort done in time - all emailed in.

I had to abandon the idea of using a slide as it was a complete affront to anyone with ears.

Thanks @Sambostar! I think. It's that legendary "yellow-y brown" tone ...

I was in a hurry so luck more than judgement really. Basic tone was my GS2/60's neck pickup through an H&K TM18 set just into break-up on the clean channel, and heavily boosted with a Tube Screamer clone (courtesy of @4114Effects). Recorded in Ableton Live, then in, er, "post-production", I dumped a chorus, delay and reverb on top of it - standard audio effects that come with Ableton. I think I just used the standard pre-sets apart from increasing the stereo effect on the chorus and adjusting the delay slightly so it's slightly different left and right.

But yeah, worked out all right, I'm pleased with it. Now if only the plugins can sort out the playing mistakes ...
