Telecaster Build - gathering the parts

So, I'm going to do a Tele, but take the opportunity for it to be just how I'd like, so very possibly not at all how others might prefer but I think that's kind of the point of a build, right?

I'm starting off with a body I had made by an old friend some while back. I wanted something that was quite light, looked quite traditional in finish, but with lovely comfortable firearm and belly contours. To whit:

The neck is on the way from Warmoth. 5/8" nut, 59 roundback profile, 6100 size jumbo frets, roasted maple and rosewood, 10-16" radius.

Hardware is going to be brass. I found a place online doing a batch of unplated Gotoh bridges, and I may have to order control plate etc from Armadillo

Red ones are better.

I like that brass bridge. Where can I get one from?

Have you thought about making your own control plate from a strip,of brass?

I got it from here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/cuicuicacustomguitars?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

I know my own limits well enough that there's no way I'd attempt metalworking! :-)

I really like the look you're shooting for - right on target and I bet it will sound banging when it's done.

Sorry, couldn't resist ;) Being serious, it looks really nice - the body in particular looks superb.

2 days - 3 weeks - depends on  the courier.  If USPS & Royal Mail - you'll have to wait for the Royal Mail postcard with the reference # to pay fees. UPS would have it with you next day and take credit card payment on the doorstep ....

You might get a final USPS notification of what the Royal Mail tracker ID is - then you can go online and pay BEFORE the postcard gets sent.
