Here's a great sounding amp which I picked up yesterday in a trade from @spenietele but I didn't realise it had an internal fan and I wanted it for silent recording. I also think I've ascertained that I'm an EL-34 player. £900 collected from Ascot for a nice quick sale? Trade for something tasty?

Does anyone here know whether I could run this with the fan disconnected? I have tried it and it did work but the amp does naturally run hot and I don't want to damage anything! It sounds excellent so if I can run it without the fan I'd be happy

Haven't got the snr but I do have a jnr which doesn't have a fan,i'v gigged it for the last year and a half with zero issues. Quite a few long gig's too.

The earlier 38senior never had a fan I used to have one and it was fine but went through a few valves lol

Thanks for the info re fan, looks like a non issue then! I still don't really suit the EL84 tone so trading this anyway now... Had an offer through eBay so all's swell.
