    Interestingly the f-holes are identical to the ones on this guitar that Rocker bought recently, and which I'm almost certain is a Hofner - or at least from the same factory - since almost all the other features definitely are, although it's not a model I'm familiar with.

    Yes - I spotted this too because my first electric was a President and the good condition prices are crazy for what they actually are rather than the sentimental value. I think, though, that this one has been listed before?

    The first guitar I restored was also a President, so this one interested me too. There's a lot of work in it to make a really nice job though - the description of the faults sounds thorough and honest, and it's not going to be easy to get it really right, as opposed to just putting it back together. I love them for what they are but I also have to question the valuations of them these days.
