    latest project done...

Inspired by Ben Wasser - still learning, but really enjoyed building the body for this. Neck is a S/H Vintage Icon.

I finished this little 1x10 cab at the weekend. Made out of old pine that was begging to be used. Added a Ragin Cagun and it sounds great! Oh, and a little tele build in the background too ;)

Latest carved top build   Inspired by the very early handmade PRSs

Emeri body (Korina -  Ha Ha!) with american hard maple cap.  Maple and mahogany laminated neck. Bone nut. Gotoh magnum locking tuners   Tonerider Alnico II pickups ( waiting on an Oil City set )
Hand Finished in slightly “aged” french polish and leather dye stains

I have another one complete - but with a chambered body, TOM bridge and stoptail - waiting for spraying to finish.  That one with BKPs fitted.

Now planning a pure LP style build next then some original designs I have on the drawing board.

    Pete

EDIT - thanks to whoever sorted the links to the pics out ( Admins ? )

refinish number 2... (don't ask!) on my Novo rip off made from and old piece of oak worktop.

This time in a (subtle) black metallic over white and attacked with razor blades and a bit of old concrete

I made a scratch plate and painted / attacked it... i'm not sure i got the shape of the scratch plate quite right in hindsight... but i do know I HATE make scratch plate and templates for them...

    anyhow...

  • Another explorer type finished...

Tried on this one to be really carful as I wanted a nature finish and it wasn't too bad... the odd slight problem here and there - neck plate should be 3mm further back... broke a screw off in the body but managed to removed and fix without messing it up.

Body is Alder (at least that's what the ebay listing said... very soft and very light, nice to work with but won't take a hammering.

Quite please with how this one turned out... and again enjoyed the process.

Not really a finish... more an evolution. My first build keep getting changed, new pick up time...

    From this...

This is a guitar I made from scratch a few months ago, the maple / sapele neck has a nice scarf joint for the reversed 12deg angled headstock. It has a pair of P90s. I'm very pleased with it.
