It was a right ballache! Actually I got a friend to do it for me as he is considerably more skileld with a soldering iron but it was a mega-faff

Would highly recommend it though. Even just to get the "humbucker" sound of the two pickups together. But if you are into that Peter Green style sound this is the mod to do. Its absolutely heavenly

I really don't think that series position sounds anything like a humbucker.

Maybe it's not done right then but I'd Definately say it has extra girth!

I thought that as the two single coils are working in series they are effectively working as a humbucker would? Albeit the distance between them obviously comes into play

I'm not saying it's exactly that sound. Just that's what I've heard it called?

Most modding is a ballache well done on getting it working.

It depends on the pickups whether they play nicely together in series. The Twisted Tele sounds good in series. So does the Harmonic Design neck pickup I have - like the TT its more of a Strat sounding pickup.
