Hope it's not a single and 9 b-sides like the last one  8-X

Edit; Lovely guitar tone in that clip, as always! I'm gonna buy it anyway.

Lovely guitar and guitar tone .. I'll buy it. It will probaly sound less Floydy with no Richard Wright ..

I'd expect it to be less Floydy as it's a David Gilmour album, not a PF one. I'll probably buy it, but TBH I didn't really like On An Island despite really wanting and trying to.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

After listening to that I am completely convinced that if the guy keeps working at it then eventually, with a bit of luck, he'll make it.  A really promising young talent.

I thought quite a few songs on the On an island were Floyd sounding due obviously to Gilmour but also Richard Wrights keyboards ..

    Such as ...

From an interview last year - "Assuring his interviewer that there aren’t any lost tracks waiting to be sprung from the vaults, Gilmour did hint that this may not be the last time we hear from Wright. “I have a little bit of Rick playing from my solo stuff that will hopefully appear on my next solo album,” he allowed. “But not a Pink Floyd album.”

So, possibly Rick will appear at least a little.  I'll definitely be listening to the album before purchasing, as I bought 'On an Island' on the day of release and really was not terribly impressed.  I see a pattern forming - I absolutely loved his first solo album (still one of my faves), second one was decent but forgettable, I actively disliked the third, so it does not bode well for number four. :))
-- Before you ask, no, I am in no way, shape or form related to Fuzzdog pedals, I was Fuzzdog before Fuzzdog were Fuzzdog.  Unless you want to give me free crap, then I'm related to whatever the hell you like! --

Pink Floyd were good for a while. I admit I even like their The Wall and earlier albums.

But everything since then has been really, really bland.

    Including that.

Undeniably DG, I'd be happy with an album full of that.

I quite like it.  Sounds a hell of a lot more interesting than Endless River.

Like the vocal sound, guitars good (as always)…..but reminded me of a lot of the Scottish bands of the late 80s early 90s….could easily have been a Love and Money song from that era…not saying it's bad…just noticed

Didn't do anything for me, and I'm a fan of the great man. Bit bland, but will no doubt go down very well on Jools Holland's show.

Heard Rattle That Lock on the way to work. Good God it's boring, he really isn't much cop as a solo artist

Wow, that is... I'm not sure what that is, as I've forgotten all about it already.  And I never thought I'd say that about Gilmour - even though I don't like most of his post-Roger stuff, at least it was usually memorable.
