3 way switch - usual options

Push/pull on tone for middle position being series/parallel

Push/pull on vol for middle position out of phase

You'll need a 4 way switch to get parallel and series, and one push/pull for phase.

I have similar mods on a tele. I didn't wire it...
Bridge is a hot rails type pickup. Has out of phase on tone and split coil on volume push/pull.
The out of phase is for me the Most useful/best sound.
The neck pickup has normal switching.gives 9 settings altogether, with standard tele 3 way switch...way too many to be practical ;-)

I have me teles wired with a five way superswitch. Gives you the series and out of phase sounds. Easier than squeezing a push/pull pot into the control cavity.

@TimmyO Have you tried the different pickup combinations? If not it's worth doing that before buying parts and soldering. You can jury rig by bring the wires out of the cavity and twisting them together.

I think we all go through the 'multiple switching combinations' as a rite of passage. Got to admit that I find the majority of variations are not worth it.
