There is no perfect. I can hear at least a few duff bits, and there's an attempt at a pinch harmonic that goes wrong that Frank said he always wanted to go back and fix but the rest of that part was good so Fuck it!

It is however one of the most entertaining things on Earth, to me. The segue from St. Alphonso into Father O'Blivion is Sesame Street on acid groove gone wild! :D

Uncle Remus is pure genius too. Stinkfoot? Funny, because it's true.

One of the best bass tones from the 70's from Arthur Barrow on that record too IMHO.

Excellent. Have you tried art du son by the way? It's AMAZING.
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Not my vinyl, just a good YT recording of a classic. I only own 3 proper records now, Eat 'Em and Smile, Skyscraper and Flex-Able.

All my vinyl was nabbed in a burglary about 20+ years ago, never went looking to replace them as CD and then, WAV, FLAC and mp-wotsit came along...

That's the right 3 records to own if you only have 3!

It's the Black and Pink cover Flex-Able too.

Whatever bad press/ posts there may be about the little Italian virtuoso, that blue haired mofo got me to where I wanted to be. The rest is entirely my fault! ;)

Yep that's the one I've got. Well I've got both actually (and the english and spanish versions of eat 'em)

  • Which one do you have? The one that says "We were sent here by God" forwards, or the backwards one?

I've never noticed that! Are you talking flexable or eatem?

  • Flexable. On Little Green Men, @ 3:48 it says "We were sent here by God" on the version I got, on other versions it says the same in reverse.

No idea which is the original version, and it really makes no difference.

Listening to Call It Sleep right now, that's why I play guitar right there!

  • For me there are 3 perfect sides of vinyl

Eruption (Focus, side 2 of Moving Waves), and
Both sides of The Snow Goose (Camel, the original version)
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

This has to be the most beautifully crafted musicianship from an era when it was OK to dress up like a flower and be a public school twat...

....so many things contained that nurtured my love for Synths, Guitar and Mellotrons...

(whatever became of the Fat Old Lady??)

Roxy Music - Country Life side 1 especially
    Led Zeppelin 1 side 1
Beatles Abbey Road - either side, it's perfect
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love side 2 (The Seventh Wave)
Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica (any of it)
King Crimson - Larks Tongues in Aspic (any side - special mention for Starless)

Any of these to me are perfection
