Crimson Guitars Templates

Just wanted to spread the word in case anyone else missed it - despite being subscribed to their video podcast it seemed to have escaped me that Crimson Guitars had significantly expanded their guitar templates, now with all major and quite a few specialist guitar types added.

I've used the Strat one for my P90 strat and it's been great. Will probably be having a year off from guitar building now (to actually play what I've built!) but I think there'll be a P-Bass for me in the future when I gear back up again.

Thanks for that - I have been struggling to cut good templates for jazz bass pickups - had a look at Stewmac this morning but theirs are quite thin acrylic, Crimson make then from 9mm MDF which is ideal. Got a P90 one at the same time for my next project.  I need to take some time off building to play too.

Hope they are better than the P90 template I got from Crimson, it obviously moved during machining and was on the wonk, despite several emails to "Mrs Ben" no satisfactory conclusion and I am stuck with a useless template.......they wanted me to spend £2.50 to send it back to exchange it with no mention of paying me back....so fuckem, won't be buying from there again......

Hmm, I've always had really good service from them myself. Everything has always been top quality too. You're the first person I've heard with anything bad to say about the at all, I hope their growth isn't starting to affect what they do.

EDIT: I've linked your post to them, let's see if they sort it out for you.

Seems strange that they'd want to have returned if it wasn't fit for purpose. They could just send you another one? After all, if you're original had been good and you wanted an extra one you would have just copied it! Hopefull;y they'll sort you out when they see this.

My issue with my P90 template appears resolved after Hobbio made them aware of this thread

I have been going through our orders and emails and I see that one of your emails regarding the template was not answered.  I have had one of our luthiers check the templates and have sent you another one, with my apologies for not getting this to you sooner.
