Did Eric Johnson Strats increase in price?

I've been on a start hunt lately and (at least based on spec) have honed in on Eric Johnson Strats...

...quite surprised they seem to be going for just shy of £2k...especially as most used EJ's go for well under £1k. Did the new ones have a price hike recently...I thought they sold for about £1,500 which IMO would position it well between the standard range and custom shop?!

Fender have bumped up their prices across the board, even other companies they own like Jackson.

Aye I know. My cash was used elsewhere at the time.

I don't see the maple boarded ones v often (outside of our FB microcosm) <£1k tho. Unless I'm looking wrong?

Bound ones look pretty good to me...horses for courses I suppose. Maple necks do tend to command slightly more used but, again, the two most recent ones on Ebay went for £1k (I'm guessing cos they had best offers with BIN just over a grand)...seems like a good guitar to buy use nonetheless!

I think new they started around the £1200.00 mark and have got more expensive over the years, last time I looked they were £1850.00.

I've seen them go on eBay for £900.00 s/hand but not in recent times.

Probably, £1100.00 is a good price for one in good nick.

I love my daphne blue EJ Strat - bound rosewood neck. Nice and chunky
