Doh, neck pocket!

So I'm putting together a guitar a strat tele hybrid. I have a strat body routed for tele layout but I've only just noticed the neck pocket is cut square for a tele neck and the neck I want to use is rounded. Since there are no holes drilled so far in the neck what are my options?

Can I just fit it with the small gaps and it'll intonate or do I have to either change the neck heel or change the pocket? If so can anyone recommend the best way to go about this other than buy a tele neck?

Yes you can just fit it with corner gaps and all else being equal it will intonate. Cover the gaps with the pickguard of course.
