First pedal making recommendations

I've got a few days free from work next week and nothing booked, I had an idea to build a Rat pedal with Boss style power, but the fuzzdog version doesn't look like it comes with that.

What can I make that runs of boss style power that's also not too difficult? I've pretty much got all my overdrive and fuzz needs sorted, although I'm not averse to the idea of building something like a fuzz, as long as it's a bit different.

I would say that my soldering skills are slim to non-existent, but I can follow instructions and I do have a number of uninterrupted hours in which to complete something like this.
