    Bingo! Thanks for sticking with me on this one guys. I couldn't have done it without you. It's really a stupid error and I should have learned about the anatomy of the jack plug first instead of wiring it up to merely look like the schematic above. I'm so happy to have got it working that I'm not too bothered about the mistake. Doubt if I'll make that mistake again.
    I might even try to get the headstock polished up and neck on today.
