Sticker rotation on a guitar.

If you were going to put a sticker, or indeed have put a sticker on your guitar. If say a phrase/wording, for examples sake '2015' and 'the fretboard'

When applying it, would you normally make it readable when the guitar is in a stand, or when in the playing position?

Curious to know your thoughts?

I have stickers on my Strat and playing position. Something large might need to be standing position I guess.

I've re-read my post again and again, but keep missing the part where I asked at what age you should stop putting stickers on a guitar? ;-)

Not that I need to explain, but so save any other criticism, it is for my son and to mark a day out we had.

I wouldn't bother with stickers, they make a nasty, sticky, dust attracting mess and they usually look shit anyway.

That's great, but it will be done very tastefully, not just slapped on. It is not going affect the finish and will be easy to clean off if required.

As said its to mark a special day I spent with my son. When I suggested it, he said it would be cool with a huge smile on his face. That's good enough for me, I wasn't looking for approval.

Taking the advice of Fretboarders re playing position. Two have been added and look very tasteful. It got the thumbs up from my son and every time I pick it up, it will remind my son and I of a great day out.
