Last month I was impressed when I first used a router, but a cabinet scraper is absolute magic. A simple piece of steel. It's so controllable, takes off exactly what you want to remove, from exactly where you want to remove it, and leaves a surface that only 600 wet and dry can improve on. I feel as excited as a child amongst all you grown ups.Andyjr1515 said:If you do want to slim the neck down a touch in the future, use a standard cabinet scraper - much more controllable in terms of easing the neck down to your ideal size or shape and then will just need a quick final smoothing sand.
