Posted this in the lightworks forum but some of you might know (I hope):
I'm making videos on my Canon G7X. I believe the files are 1080p AVCHD 60fps. When I create the Lightworks project I set frame rate to 60fps (if I choose auto it chooses 24fps but how does it know when you haven't even specified a video at this point?). When I import a video it is very slow and juddery. Looks great but doesn't play back well. The audio is also very slow - e.g. low in pitch. I then tried WMM but it's video quality doesn't seem to be great so coming back to this program which I think is better. I'm using the free version for now. Goal is to put videos on youtube. I'm not an expert on any of this and need to find a quick solution - I appreciate this must be frustrating for those pro users but I'm sorry, I don't have the time to learn all the ins and outs right now. Thanks in advance - this is frustrating!

I don't know much about video but I do know you need a bloody fast PC to process HD (and an absolute MONSTER to run 4K!).
Memory is also an issue, 4G runs "the works" but 8G would be the minimum for HD video I would say. Don't forget that Win7 Premium can only run up to 16G.
Dave.
