    Thanks gents.  That's interesting @tedmanzie, as I always thought the Mackie had a bulletproof reputation.  Good to hear all stories.  Going to give the iPad remote a crack.
    I should add I had the older version of the Mackie but it still had Penny & Giles faders. In fact I've still got it in the cupboard, I think two faders are redundant, if you want it you can have it but you'll need to come and get it (KT2) :)

    Sweepy is correct - Logic Remote on iPad has multi touch so you do multiple faders / pans etc. Also one of the best things about Remote is that you can play the instruments in a different way to a standard midi keyboard, and you can also have buttons for key commands.
