[Complete] A failed Luthier's Debut... From bin to life?

Firstly, thanks to all the help and support for my first project of this nature. It was completed and now up for sale.
Secondly, a big thanks to Steve Robinson for digging this out for me. The guitar in question is a Paul Cathcart. I think the only one he made.

This is a challenge, due to the poor top. When removing it from the sides two large splits appeared, to join the original splits that were already in the top. Having never repaired splits, I'm Not sure how hopeful I am of repairing them, but they are currently clamped up and supported by a spare section of top. Maybe I'll stick to my saw instead of the household iron in future, but the top seemed incredibly dry to begin with anyway. So bring the upcycle project on. Temple Mandolin 002.
