Just sold a 2 mk ii. Why do you need the xl +?

I had mine 18 months and barely had 20 presets.

Plus, I figure the latest model will be just a little more future-proof. Already, patches created on the XL can only be used on the XL, so if I want to download any of the latest ones being created, I'm going to need the XL.

I've owned an AFX since the early days of the Ultra.

Most folks simply don't use downloaded patches these days.

If I was dipping my toe in for the first time I'd suggest getting an Axe FX II, either mark 1 or mark 2.

I'm not so much dipping my toe in, as I used to own an Axe FX Ultra too.

Last time around I didn't do much with it at all (one of the reasons I sold it) and indeed may not use downloads this time, but I'd like to leave the option open. Plus, as I say, there are quite a few other little upgrades on the XL/+
