I see he's playing Glasgow 3rd November. A Tuesday dammit, and at 7pm. 

been to see him before but the date and time are a bit awkward. Who's going?

There's one blues he does all the time that certainly gets very tired. 

I might have to pass up as travelling through to Glasgow for 7pm is a real ball-ache

Is he actually playing at 7pm? Surely not, so as long as you can live without being on the barrier you could still make it for his set.

Tickets are £42.50 + booking fee, plus petrol to get there - that could be £50 or so towards something else

Yeah, I'm being serious is that a VIP ticket?  It seems quite expensive to see Satriani, that's all.  Whitesnake are playing in Belfast, in an arena with Def Lepp supporting, and the tickets are £49.

Why did you decide against it? 

I was watching some videos of Dan Patlansky and he looks pretty good.  More interesting than Satch with the vocals and that.

Mind you, Satch has Mike Keneally touring with him so that might be interesting also.

I'm not massive on Mike Kenally to be honest. 

The support act does look good. 

Well it's going to be £50 + petrol and Tuesday night is a pain coming from East Lothian (40+ mile drive after work) - plus we might have a gig that night.

I saw Steve Vai on his Ultra Zone tour with Mike Keneally and was really impressed with Keneally who doubled some of Steve's lines and I was amazed.

He's good but I find his style a bit too quirky and out there for me. Been watching his lessons on jamplay and he's clearly amazing but not quite my style.

I don't mind one or two of his tunes but as a live player, he doesn't excite me much.

 JB was 45 for the cheapest seats on last tour I saw. Its just how it is now, as its the only real source of income….

Absolutely the worst gig I've ever been to, and I loved him at the time. He just kept going "YEEEEEAH! NOW IM GETTIN WARMED UP!" after every song. Every song also ended in the same way which was to slow it down in to a jam and then he'd point his guitar in the air and bring it down slowly. YEEEAH NOW IM GETTIN WARMED UP!
