How to post pics, TinyPic

The trouble is all my previous 'how to' articles etc have pics hosted on photobucket ... 

A large resource would be lost if I swapped.

@Flink_Poyd - true but I have no problem using the Tinypic website from my phone and as the first half of my life was before mobile phones existed, then I'm not sure why you youngsters should find it hard

I won't click on photobucket links anymore, life's too short for all that nonsense.

Moral of the story is use what works while avoiding Photobucket.

Imgur has very few steps and also appears in the thread immediately on iOS.

I have been thinking about swapping for a while  its just having 10 years worth of pics on photobucket that stops me.

 

 

is there an easy way to download and back up a whiole photobucket colelction.   If i could save it to a hard drive I would gladly never use the site again

Anything is better than photobucket, it'd make the forum an easier place to navigate if people do use an alternative.

Completely agree - use whatever puts the image straight in the thread so the reader doesn't have to click a link.

OH NO! I hope you're joking! I went through threads last night looking at where the images are stored and picked tinypic from that (unscientific) sample when I tried it and saw the auto-resize. Didn't get any pop-ups. Aw spit - maybe I was just lucky (

I am getting a fake windows style advert banner bar, 2 pop ups and a sponsored advert. Reminds me a lot of PB. (not got a popup blocker switched on)

Ah, not on the fretboard, no nothing there : I mean on the Tinypic site itself.

Just checked - no pop ups on phone version for me either phew.

If you are finding links rather than embedded images, surely the original post with pic was done wrongly. If you look at any of my own posts all you should be able to see is just the image, as its the URL for the actual image on photobucket ... not the link photobucket tries to make you use. 

Right click and copy image URL, then paste it into the 'image' box here.

Tinypic FAQ says any unassociated files posted and unviewed after 90 days may be deleted... it suggests using Photobucket for further functionality!!!
